Our Mission
We believe in long term, successful partnerships. We want to grow with our customers and our clients, whether investing or innovating. If the client and customer is happy then we have succeeded. No task is beneath any employee of MFB Events as we all work as a family. We treat everyone equally and truly support those who support us. This ideology has proven successful since 1976!
July 4th, 1976
It was 1976, The Fourth of July, America’s Bicentennial celebration… An ambitious father trekked into New York City, full of hope and visions. He set up a small wooden stand with a sign that read “Mom’s Mushrooms.” With a neighbor’s son down on his luck and in need of work, they sat in this booth, selling mushrooms lightly deep fried with a unique Italian batter recipe.Who could create such an item? Only an inspired man, a special ed teacher who had used his Italian mother-in-laws recipe, a wildly unique concept for NYC in 1976. However, sadly no one bought the mushrooms, and dad returned to New Jersey deflated and with only $7.00 in his pocket. His life savings investment had failed.
Why Only Mushrooms?
In a moment of revelation, Dad remembered what an elder vendor had questioned when at the stand in NYC. “Why only mushrooms? Not everyone likes mushrooms.” She told him to go home and buy more vegetables: broccoli, eggplant, cauliflower, and of course mushrooms. She said to him, “Make combinations.” This will be his new direction!

Mom’s Was A Success
With that $7.00 and some borrowed money from his mother-in-law, he purchased additional vegetables and expanded the menu. Invigorated, he returned to NYC and this time returned with just under $2,000. Holy S@#@. He had done it! Mom’s was a success. What else can we dream up?!Evolution of Mom’s
From vegetables to what became known as their signature item, London Broil Sandwiches, Mom’s has evolved into MFB Events. The stands got bigger and the signs got grander. MFB has now produced some of the most successful food and beverage experiences for thousands of festival attendees across the country. Mom (& Dad) would be proud!
